Holiday Harbor in Sarasota : Homes for Sale in an Eclectic Neighborhood

Located south of Stickney Point Road, right between the Tamiami Trail and the Sarasota Bay waterfront, Holiday Harbor is an interesting neighborhood that not many people are familiar with. Most of the homes in this small boating and fishing community are arranged along three canals that offer direct access to Little Sarasota Bay; in fact, this is where the prestigious Hidden Harbor Marina is located, but this is hardly an exclusive neighborhood.

Holiday Harbor in Sarasota rests upon an elevated section of land, which means that owners of two-level properties with balconies or windows facing the water can enjoy nicer views. The real estate is eclectic in this neighborhood; many homes are modest Florida ranches that do not sell very often, and they are just steps away from imposing waterfront mansions that have been thoroughly renovated over the years. In late 2018, an impressive four-bedroom home with five bathrooms, a swimming pool, and a private docking space complete with a pier was listed for $3.6 million; this waterfront mansion was completed in 2016 by Jonas Yoder, a highly respected Sarasota builder who specializes in coastal projects. Another developer that has completed projects in this neighbor is Legacy Builders.

A couple of construction-ready Holiday Harbor lots were available to purchase in late 2018; the most attractive is a 7,405 square feet spot right on the water and with direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway. As you can imagine, this community is a dream come true for boaters, but there are other nearby attractions to enjoy. The famous TPC Prestancia country club is five minutes away, just north of Potter Park, and Livingston’s Amusement Center is about 10 minutes away. It only takes five minutes to reach the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall, about the same distance as Siesta Key Beach.
