In the October 2021 issue of Travel + Leisure magazine, Longboat Key was listed as one of the best island real estate markets in the United States. As part of the Sarasota Keys, this barrier island offers miles of beaches blessed with sugary white sands, which means that house hunters can find beachfront properties such as Beachplace, a collection of condominium towers with more than 330 units, and many of them provide spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico.

Beachplace is located on the southern section of Longboat Key; it is right next to the Longboat Key Golf Club, which means you can drive to Lido Key and the upscale shops of St. Armands Circle in less than 10 minutes. All the same, the Bay Isles shopping center and its Greenwise Publix supermarket are just a seven-minute drive to the north. The beach is just steps away.

Pricing for Beachplace units, which range from 1,172 to 1,819 square feet of interior, starts around $500K. As can be imagined, the most sought-after condo units are in the higher floors of the towers directly facing the beach. The larger three-bedroom units are usually priced closer to $1.5 million, and they feature panoramic balconies. Some units face a large central pond stocked with fish. Many owners of Beachplace condo units are able to generate nice profits by attracting seasonal renters; units can be leased throughout the year as long as the contracts are made for at least 30 days.

In terms of amenities, Beachplace residents and their guests can lounge by the swimming pool, stay fit at two exercise facilities, play tennis at three courts, relax at the clubhouse, wind down at the hot tub, or stroll through green spaces. Extra features include kayak storage, 24/7 security, and charging stations for electric cars. The main attraction is the 1,400 feet of beachfront that resident have private access to, but you can also enjoy arts and culture right across the water in Downtown Sarasota, which is less than 15 minutes away.
