In 2009, national home builder Centex took an unusual chance on the Southwest Florida housing market. Real estate analysts believed that The Reserve at Crossing Creek in Bradenton, an exclusive residential enclave located near the Braden River High School, was a little too risky and ambitious considering the state of the real estate market at the time.
Centex had to suspend construction at The Reserve a few months after breaking ground; by 2013, however, market conditions had improved enough to complete the initial phase of model homes. By 2015, new construction listings at The Reserve had been thoroughly sold out.
As of 2015, a couple of homeowners at The Reserve decided to test the market and list their properties. Current pricing in this exclusive Bradenton neighborhood starts just under $290K for a three-bedroom and three-bathroom single-family home featuring 2,254 square feet of interior space.
House hunters interested in a quiet residential enclave located about 15 minutes away from Downtown Bradenton should strongly consider The Reserve at Crossing Creek. The floor plans selected by Centex for this neighborhood are modern, spacious and elaborate. These are homes that feature foyers and studios, gourmet kitchens, Moen fixtures, formal dining rooms, garden-style bath, ample parking spaces, luxury counter tops, and more.
This neighborhood is tucked within small nature preserves and ponds that provide lots of privacy and serenity. Many of the homes are oriented towards the small lakes and forest meadows so that tenants can enjoy the view from their breakfast nooks. A dog-friendly community park and a kayak launch are within walking distance.
In 2016 Neal Communities began working on The Ridge at Crossing Creek, which is a gated community. Pricing is similar to The Reserve. Amenities include a kayak launch, a recreation center, nature trails, a swimming pool, a spa and more.
Crossing Creek is conveniently located on the western side of I-75 and just north of State Road 70. The Creekwood Crossing shopping center is less than five minutes away, and it features suburban comforts such as a Lowe’s, LA Fitness, Starbucks, and more. Bradenton Beach is less than 40 minutes away, and the nearest golf course is about a mile away.
