Milano is part of a new residential development trend that is elevating the status of Venice as a highly desirable housing market in Southwest Florida. Located in the northeastern section of Venice, right between Nokomis and the Myakka River State Park, Milano is a Neal Communities project that broke ground in 2016; development continued through 2019, which means that prospective buyers will find homes still covered under builder’s warranty.
The entire Milano community is graced with a mix of Mediterranean and Tuscan architectural styles; this is why the streets have Italian names. As with other Neal Communities, you can expect a high degree of quality construction and attractive extras in every home. The first phase of the project was limited to attached two-bedroom villas, but more recent units include single-family homes with three and four bedrooms. Tray ceilings, entrance columns, designer kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances, crown molding, and engineered stone counters are just some of the lovely features you will find in every Milano model.
When you look back at the real estate sales history of Milano, it is clear to see that property values have appreciated significantly in recent years. As of July 2020, a two-bedroom villa was listed just under $300K, and a three-bedroom home with two full bathrooms could be negotiated for less than $320K.
The amenities at Milano have been designed with all types of homeowners in mind. Active seniors can enjoy the various activities organized by the in-house lifestyle director. Families can spend time at the heated swimming pool and spa, or they can also enjoy picnics at the outdoor pavilion facing a large lake. The clubhouse can be reserved for social events, and residents can take walks on the trails around the community ponds. A bocce ball space, a dog park, and pickle ball courts round out the amenities.
Beyond the gates of Milano, nearby attractions include the Myakka River State Park, the Venetian Golf and River Club, the beaches at Nokomis and Venice, and Warm Mineral Springs Park. For grocery runs, you have the Publix supermarket at the Jacaranda Commons shopping center less than seven minutes away, but there’s also a fancier Publix at Venetian Plaza closer to Nokomis.
