River Place in Bradenton is a residential community located on the far inland section of the Braden River, just south of Ward Lake and east of I-75. This neighborhood has been mostly developed in the 21st century, and it will thus appeal to house hunters looking for newly constructed single-family residences.
River Place is unique in the sense that its properties tend to be larger than those currently being developed in Manatee County. For example, two-bedroom and two-bathroom residences built with interior spaces of 1,900 square feet are not unusual. To get an idea of property prices at River Place, consider this mid-2015 listing: four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a three-car garage for just $305K.
It is important to note that River Place is a large residential community with separate subdivisions, and some of them offer waterfront homes; in fact, the properties located closer to the Braden River have their own private dock space. Some of the most well-appointed homes are located on cul-de-sacs and feature private swimming pools, outdoor kitchens and wet bars. There is a community kayak and canoe launch for residents; other amenities include: common playground, swimming pool, exercise rooms, media library, and neighborhood lounge.
When it comes to shopping and entertainment, residents of River Place have two major commercial districts to choose from. The new and upscale University Park is located about 10 minutes away while Main Street at Lakewood Ranch is even closer. River Place is not far from Downtown Sarasota, and residents can choose from either Bradenton Beach or Siesta Key when planning their weekend trips.
