Since 2017, local developer Medallion Home has been busy putting the final touches on Waverley in Sarasota, a new Tuscana district residential project that truly deserves to be described as a boutique neighborhood. Located on the east side of I-75 along a section of Proctor Road, Waverley is a gated community adorned by 110 recently built estates. The floor plans selected by Medallion Home for Waverley aesthetically combine Caribbean and Mediterranean architecture, and one of them earned the Southwest Florida Parade of Homes in 2019.
To get an idea of the caliber of properties being developed at Waverley, consider the Santa Maria mode, winner of the 2019 Parade of Homes: this is a three-bedroom and three-bathroom estate with an open floor plan that features multiple views of the tropical landscaping. The Santa Maria offers a media room, courtyard, office, covered lanai, walk-in closets, breakfast cafe, and swimming pool.
As of May 2019, pricing at Waverley started at $484K for the three-bedroom Belize model. If you need lots of space for an extended family, you may want to consider the Bimini model, which features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a three-car garage, fireplaces, and private guest quarters with more than 4,680 square feet of living space. New homes at Waverley typically sell within a week of being completed, and their values appreciate very quickly.
If you are looking for a peaceful and private neighborhood, Waverley offers the advantage of being located next to a greenbelt section adjacent to a former golf course. There is very little through-traffic in this neighborhood, and many of the homes are located at a considerable distance away from Proctor Road. County parks, amusement centers, and horse ranches are some of the nearby family attractions. Driving to Siesta Key beach takes about 30 minutes, and the Centergate Village shopping center offers a Walmart Supercenter plus a Publix supermarket about a mile away.
